New Tax credit for first time home buyers

What do you think of the new tax credit for first time home buyers or the home owner who is buying up? In a way I think it is good and in a way I see our country getting more and more in debt. When I bought my house I didn't get a tax break and now My taxes have almost doubled. I think we should all get some kind of tax break. I also think that when you hit 65 you shouldn't have to pay a school tax in New Jersey but our seniors and being forced out of their homes because they can't afford their taxes. it would be great to get the first time home buyers out to by homes and get our great country back on it's feet but we also have to be careful not to put us deeper in debt while trying to get out of the mess we are in.
